PROJECT SCOPE: GOONYELLA MINE – CULVERTS

BMA mine site at Goonyella required additional drainage provisions to enable the progression of other mine construction activities on the site. The drainage works involved the separation of both mine and non-mine runoff in affected areas and the diversion of this runoff to specific drainage channels.

Goonyella Mine Culvert scope included:

  • The provision of plant and labour to survey
  • Supply/deliver and unload culvert pipes, bed excavation with selected fill,
  • Install and join pipe,
  • Backfill the pipe and compact with select fill

Work was coordinated to meet staging as defined by the Client and to coordinate with other mine site operations.

CASA provided mine-spec equipment and BMA-inducted supervisors, staff and subcontractors in order to carry out these works to strict safety and quality standards.
