PROJECT SCOPE: Mt Louisa Reservoir No.1 Roof Replacement

Replacement of the Mount Louisa Reservoir No.1 roof was required due to damage sustained from Tropical Cyclone Yazi in February 2011.

The broad Project scope involved demolition/removal of the damaged structural elements and the supply, fabrication, installation and protective treatment of structural steel sufficient to enable Townsville Water to recommission the local water supply. This scope included new rafters, purlins, roof sheeting, ventilators and access platforms (including handrails).

CASA also reconditioned and reinstated the davit system and roof platform, in accordance with the drawings and specifications supplied.

The project duration was extended due to several approved variations and extensions of time. CASA successfully reached Practical Completion on 25th November, one month earlier than our approved extended contract period. This was a pleasing result and a testament to excellent client relations, good planning and execution on-site.
